Relax! Enjoy it!

My, my, my, how the time flies when we are having fun! Are we having fun? Many of you, (I should also include myself), are frantically searching all over for that unique gift. Some of you are stressed out, and others are wishing that Christmas had never arrived.
Hey folks, Christmas is not all about buying presents for those you love, and in some instances, those you don’t really care for. Right? I know I’m right. Don’t try to hide it. Christmas is all about the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the greatest gift to all mankind. It is also about families getting together, in order to celebrate this momentous occasion.

Hey, don’t get me wrong, gifting your loved ones, and those you consider close friends, is ok by me. The trouble I have with this frenetic deviation from the norm, is the undue stress many of you are experiencing. This is a time for joy, happiness, family reunions, the hustle, and bustle of shopping with the right perspective. This is Christmas folks. As you frequent the shopping malls, enjoy, have fun, set aside plans to meet with friends at the end of your shopping excursions, and make this adventure, one you will never forget.

As you go from store to store, and buy whatever is in your mind, be thankful, and grateful that you have the means to do so. Let’s not forget those less fortunate ones who will not have that opportunity. There are those out there, who will not be able to give, nor receive. Do you know of any such person? Well, if you do, you know what to do. If you don’t, go to a shelter, volunteer a few hours, and make a difference.

I conclude with the following… Christmas should not only be enjoyeable, but welcomed as well. This is my advice to you, enjoy the festivities, and relax! Merry Christmas to all!!

  1. I know that it is past Christmas, but I just read this and it is true. Thanks for reminding me, Lord willing if I am still on this earth by next Christmas it will be a time to enjoy the gift of God and thank Him for the means to give to others.

  2. Those are great points! I think we should also be grateful for what we receive. Many people ask for gift cards so that they can buy what they want or they return gifts that they don’t like. They forget the concept of a gift.
